Book Updates
Blaze of Vengeance is almost here! We’re almost done the first round of edits, then it’s just… another… round… then formatting, then we’ll be ready to hand it off to the world! Yaaaay!
Release day is officially June 30th, but our VIPs will get it at least 10 days before that. We’ll also be distributing ARCs, which you can sign up for here. (Note that you must have read and reviewed River of Deceit and Ashes of Treachery to receive an ARC of Blaze of Vengeance. RoD and AoT are in KU, or we have a limited number of review copies available.)
After Blaze is out in the world, we turn full throttle to Kiss Him Bloody, which is the first Cuore Family book in a series of standalones. We’ve posted up to Chapter 4 as of today, and we hope you’re enjoying Zane and Hyacinth thus far! We received the cover this past week, and it’s gorgeous. Alas, you’ll have to wait to see it. It’ll go up for preorder soon, with an expected release date of the end of September.
Which feels like forever away, but we’ll see. Who knows? It might get dropped sooner.

Personal Updates
(Adara) FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION?? Omg. I’m so, so hyped for this game. The original Final Fantasy VII was my first proper RPG, and it is 100% responsible for my love of the genre. I had been dreaming of an HD version of FF7 since they released that PS3 tech demo. When it was announced for the PS4, I couldn’t believe it.
If Remake had been the only game to be released, I would have been satisfied. But they pulled it off. They turned the original 3-disc playstation game into three separate games, and I didn’t have to wait decades for each individual part. Getting to explore this word and relive my favorite characters has been such a blast.
Now I just need to wait until Spring 2027 to see Cloud and Sephiroth face off properly in photo-realistic glory.
(Also, in case you’re wondering, yes of course I ship Sephiroth/Cloud, and yes I want to see Cloud cry )
(Raissa) I have not written anything since June 1st and I’m going batshit crazy. I told someone I’d been in the writing cage instead of the writing cave yesterday, and that’s about how it feels sometimes! But we’re doing really well with edits, which means that soon, we’ll be back to writing.
Andi’s day job and life outside of it are kicking her ass, but we’re still posting chapters of Breaking Onyx to our Ream twice a week. We have some deep edits to do to one of the upcoming chapters, but other than that, things are proceeding with fairly light edits. This Ream is $5/month (separate from W&P membership since it’s with Andi and not Adara), and you get two chapters of Breaking Onyx a week. (There are 10 chapters currently available.)
